- DO YOU TRAVEL TO MY LOCATION?
With our convenient mobile service, we bring the salon to you. This allows you to save time, money and help you relax on your wedding day or for your special event. We bring all the equipment, setup, and materials. All travel & parking fees are included in our pricing. Special arrangements can be made for travel outside the Triangle area, nationally and internationally.
- CAN I REQUEST A PRICE ESTIMATE?
Our comprehensive estimate will include all fees and an estimated wedding day timeline where possible. We recommend that you have your wedding location & number of guests requiring Makeup & Hair services provided in your request.
- DO YOU REQUIRE A MINIMUM TO BOOK?
No there is no minimum of services required. We offer "Bride Only" services; our main focus is always the bride. We have also created all inclusive packages {The Suite Collections} for your convenience. If any of the packages does not suit your needs, please refer to the a la carte add on services that may be added to any existing packages.
- CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO THE CONTRACT? (adding/removing services, timeline changes, location changes)
Yes, we allow changes to your contract and we do not penalize for making revisions. All revisions to the contract must be made in writing and will be subject to price change and timeline adjustments. The dateline for the last revision to the contract is 30 days prior to the wedding date.
- WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
You may cancel at any time for any reason. Cancellations must be made in writing by certified mail. There will be no refund of the 1/2 package price or date reservation fee. Makeupforyourday appreciates at least a 30 day cancellation notice. Makeupforyourday Cancellation: In the very unlikely event that Makeupforyourday may need to cancel due to extraordinary circumstances, Makeupforyourday will notify the client in writing and refund the deposit and all monies received.
- WHEN CAN I REQUEST A TRIAL?
Six month prior to your wedding date but is best recommended 2-3 months before the wedding. Trial sessions are held on location by appointment only. If you wish to experience a trial session before you book with us, the trial session fee for makeup or hair only is $90 and is non-refundable. If you require both Hair & Makeup services the charge is $180.
- WHAT HAPPENS AT THE TRIAL?
The trial session is of utmost importance to us. We will begin with a 15 minute consultation; we request that you collect sample photos of the style of makeup, hair, dress and wedding day colors to bring to the trial session. Having your veil and hair accessories is recommended but not required. We will then re-create the look you desire for your wedding day. Lastly, a photo-shoot of the final look for our file and reference (copies of the photos will be emailed to you within the week). Approximately 1.5 hours per trial session should be allotted. A friend or a family member is welcome to come with you.
- HOW MANY LOOKS CAN I TRY AT THE TRIAL?
We request that on the day of your trial session you already know the look you want for your wedding day or special event. The trial session is 1.5 hours for makeup with added time for hair and we can only accommodate one look within that period of time. If you require additional time to try other looks the hourly fee is $100.
- HOW MANY TRIALS CAN I HAVE?
Clients usually require only one trial. If you require another trial at a later date, the additional trial fee is $90 for hair or makeup separately, $180 for both.
- CAN I HAVE MY TRIAL THE DAY OF MY ENGAGEMENT PICTURES?
It is not recommended, unless you wish to have the same wedding look in your engagement pictures. We offer separate photo session hair & makeup services for engagement photo needs. The look is fresh, clean, and casual.
- DO YOU USE HAIR EXTENSIONS?
We recommend 100% human clip-on hair extension sold at most beauty supply stores (i.e. Sally’s) because hair color is so specific, we require that you purchase your own hair extensions to ensure correct coloring. We will apply the hair extension on the trial or wedding day at no additional application cost.
- WHAT BRAND OF COSMETICS PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
We use the top commercial & cinematic cosmetic products in the market such as Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Stila, Nars, Fresh and Smashbox to name a few. We keep up with the trends and continue to test new products in the market; only the best products make it into our artist's cases.
- DO YOU OFFER AIRBRUSH APPLICATION?
Airbrush service is available using Dior Airbrush foundation at an additional cost of $20 per person.
- DO YOU OFFER EYELASH APPLICATION?
We provide wedding parties with natural individual eyelash application for $15 per person.
- HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DO HAIR & MAKEUP?
Bride:
Hair* & Makeup – 2 hours
Hair* or Makeup only – 1 hour
Additional Ladies:
Hair* & Makeup – 1.5 hours
Hair* or Makeup only – 30 minutes
*Time allowance regardless of hair length and style.
