I guess you can say that I have always had an obsession with makeup. From playing dress up in my mom’s tall leather boots while I was still wearing a diaper, to putting on her red lipstick and walking around the house with her fur coat on! What can I say, it’s in my genes. My mother was a cosmetologist, and for as long as I can remember, she would have clients that came to the house for her to do her hair, and give them beauty advice. I have always had a dream to be in the fashion industry, and from a young girl that I once was, I have played dress up ever since. I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, and decided that I would rather party than go to school, so I transferred out of NYC and began my journey in the beauty business in Atlanta, GA. While in college I worked for a specialty bridal boutique selling wedding gowns, and one day a client liked the way my own makeup was and asked me to do hers for her wedding. It was then that I realized that I loved to help others look their best for their special day; however, my beauty career did not start there! I continued to sell wedding dresses, but still loved to makeover my friends and family for various occasions. It wasn’t until I moved to NC that I found my true passion for makeup.
Working with the luxury cosmetic line of CHANEL exclusively for the past 7 years is where I learned most of my techniques, and learned to love skin. Not just any skin, but how to make one’s own skin even more beautiful, just by enhancing what you have with minimal product. I remembered learning about CHANEL from my fashion school days, and there are concepts which mademoiselle CHANEL had come up with over 70 years ago which I still carry with me in my heart. When I am working with a client, I see the natural beauty. I want my clients to feel and look glamorous, but still recognizable.
Whether you are a getting married, celebrating a special occasion, or just want to learn, I strive to make my clients look and feel the very best that they can be.
Ultimately, you are the star of the show, I am just there to help you shine…
