Spring Looks

Spring is a wonderful time of year for color. Different companies try various approaches to “what’s hot” for spring looks. I love the soft, subtle addition of color to the face and the warmth that is gained by bronzer and getting a little more color on the skin.
I broke out the self tanner today on my face as a welcome to the warm weather and stand my goal to not tan as much this year as years before because it’s so bad for us…but feels so good! I admit it, I’m a sun worshiper, but I’m trying to make it a priority this year to use self tanner where possible to give me the look I desire and keep the premature wrinkles at bay a little while longer!
So, with that being said, I will be adding the Spring looks from companies that we think look hot for the times and maybe even commenting on a few that aren’t so hot. 🙂 Let us know what you like about the Spring collections, too. We love your feedback!
Here’s the selftanner that I love from Clarins and the new Spring line from Chanel is above to start us off:

  1. I love, love, love the Clarins self tanners. The ones above are great for face because they don’t smell bad, you can use them in the morning after exfoliating in the shower and not reek of self-tanner!Also, Clarins has an awesome tinted leg tanner which I actually use all over. I like it all over because it’s tinted and I can make sure it doesn’t streak.Good luck!

  2. I wanted to weigh in on this as well, if you are unsure about how to use self-tanners or if you have had a bad previous experience (lord knows we have all been there!) both Clarins and CHANEL make really good lightweight oil free facial moisturizers with a “hint” of DHA – the active ingredient found in self tanners, so it gives you a very “gradual” glow, and you don’t have to worry about streaking. Stop by their counters and ask for a little sample of CHANEL Beaute Initiale Healty Glow and Clarins Radiance Plus Self Tanning Cream-Gel so you can try before you buy! Here’s a little tip for using the body self tanners; in my personal experience, when I apply self tanners on the body, I use a little bit of regular body lotion first (especially the dry areas like knees, feet, elbows) and let it dry a bit before applying the self tanner, and the outcome is a streak free glow!!!Good luck, and let us know how you make out!!!
