Happy Thanksgiving!
We have enjoyed putting the spotlight on the people and products that we are thankful for this week. On Sunday we wrote about how thankful we are for some awesome products, Monday’s post was about our talented team of artists and stylists, Tuesday we gave thanks to our amazing clients, Wednesday we expressed our gratitude for our fellow wedding vendors… and today – we are thankful for everything!
Inspired by centerpieces and other decor, here are some Thanksgiving-themed looks to try for the weekend and as we head into the holiday season.
This is a beautiful eyeshadow color scheme and a really great evening look. Start at the lash line with a black liner, right on top of that go in with a matte brown eyeshadow and finally add some deep gold to the edges of the brown. This will give the eye dimension. Finish it off with a highlight under the brown and some mascara and you are good to go!
This completely matte brown eyeshadow look can be worn day or night. For daytime wear, just keep the color above the lid. When the sun sets it is an easy transition to add liner on your lower waterline and pull some of the shadow below your lower lash line to add drama.
Scarlett Johnansson made quite a statement with this unconventional smokey eyes at the Oscars. The gold and copper- orange mix looked stunning and put a new twist on the traditional black or brown smokey eye. To make this look more wearable you can use the same color scheme, but don’t bring the color up so high onto the brow bone. By keeping the color on the lid it becomes a more wearable look off of the red carpet. Another way to tone down the drama is to use brown eyeliner instead of black, it will look less striking, but blend nicely and make the look more versatile.
We hope that everyone enjoys some good food and company this long weekend. Stay safe, relax and unwind – you deserve it
See you next week!
