Happy St.Patty’s Day with Pantone

We are so excited about this year’s Pantone color of the year. Emerald is a beautiful and versatile color that looks good on a variety of a skin tones. St. Patty’s Day is the perfect time to try out this emerald shade. Each year Sephora teams up with Pantone to release a variety of products in the year’s color.
Along with emerald, we love all of the dark, deep jewel tones, they make great makeup looks. Emerald alone is very versatile and can be sultry.
In this look it is used with shimmer on the inner corners of the eyes with bold, dark lashes. Above and below the eye there is a beautiful emerald color, and on the outer corner and crease above the eye, and on the lash line below the eye there is a very deep tourquoise color which helps give the eye depth.
Emerald eyes can also be clean and unique with this fun look. The emerald is used to create a cat eye. A more neutral beige was used on the lid first, then starting from the middle of the eyelid, emerald was blended up and out to create the cat-eye look. From the brow bone to the brows there is a matte blight brown shadow giving the eye depth.
We found some great how-to tutorials from Sephora that demonstrate different looks and techniques for a Pantone emerald green look that is perfect for St. Patty’s Day! Whether you love a soft smokey look, a bold and dramatic look or want to experiment with bold emerald liner, Sephora will show you step-by-step how to achieve these looks.

We hope that you enjoyed these looks and find one that you want to try out. Even if you aren’t celebrating today, sometime in 2013 you should try this beautiful and versatile shade.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
