Spray Tanning Before Your Wedding Day

Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day. With all of the beauty regimens you go on before the big day, perhaps you should consider a spray tan. Even if you have never had one, a soft golden glow can really make a subtle impact. MYD Beauty experts recommend getting an airbrushed spray tan as opposed to the traditional machine spray tan.

Some of the benefits of sunless airbrush spray tanning are:

  • Totally safe to use
  • No harmful UV rays
  • A healthy, youthful look to the skin
  • A precise application of product
  • Even skin in photographs

When choosing an artist for airbrush tanning there are several things you want to look for. Make sure that the artist spends time putting a protective barrier on your nails, hands, feet, elbows, and knees. The tell-tale signs of a bad spray tan are the patchy areas that just get more exfoliation before its able to develop. By creating a protective barrier, you avoid the obvious signs you’ve just been spray tanned.

You should also make sure your artist is knowledgeable and informative about the process. Ask them the different processing times and options, how long the tan lasts, and what to expect. The artist should be knowledgeable enough to explain any questions you have about the safety of the solution and how the chemical reaction works.

If you’re a bride that is looking to get a spray tan for her wedding but have never had one before there are a few things to consider. You should always have a “trial run” spray tan. This will allow you to not only see what it looks like on you, but to see if it is the desired result. Your body goes through seasonal hormonal changes, so a tan will develop differently on you in the winter, than it does in the summer. Your trial should reflect that. If your wedding is in the fall, try to schedule your trial within enough time to make sure  you like the effect, but that you also have time to make changes.

Overall the spray tan should compliment and flatter your skin tone as well as your dress and overall look. Spray tans are a great option for Brides looking to give themselves a little something extra for their wedding day.
