Hello MYD Beauties,
Anybody else got Spring Fever? We do! What is it about spring time that makes us want lighten things up and take a more “natural” approach to our makeup? I am so ready for dewy natural makeup to make a comeback. This is one of my personal favorite “Daytime Spring” makeup looks.
As always, first step is to moisturize the skin, I added an extra step today with applying Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist after my moisturizer. For primer I used Cover FX Illuminating Primer followed up my foundation. I wanted to use a liquid foundation for this look, Urban Naked Skin Foundation provides a very natural dewy finish, which is perfect for this daytime look. As always, my ride or die, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer under the eyes and around the nose. I used Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder to set my foundation and under eye area. This powder leaves your skin with a soft glowing finish. For bronzer I used Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder to warm up my complexion. For a more subtle glow, I used a cream highlighter, Pur Sun Kissed Glow Palette is one of my favorites. I use a beauty blender to apply it on the high points of the cheeks. You can’t have a spring look without a pink blush, Nars blush in Deep Throat adds just the right amount of pink for me.
On to the eyes, I kept this very simple, I used Makeup Geek Cosmetics single shadow in Cupcake in my crease and lid. To darken my crease, I applied the shade Ambrosia from the Too Faced White Chocolate Chip Palette. And finish the look, Raspberry Rose from the same palette adds a nice shimmer to the lid. Apply your favorite mascara, I used Maybelline Stiletto Mascara. To make my eyes appear more awake, I applied a nude eyeliner in my waterline, lately I have been using Rimmel Exaggerate liner “in the nude”. As always, fill in your brows, Anastasia Brow Wiz never lets me down. To finish off this Spring look, one of my favorite lip products, Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Tint-In-Oil in shade “Cherry My Cherie 5”. This lip product is so amazing, very moisturizing and adds just the right amount of color.
