MYD Shares some Father’s Day Gift Ideas

It can be difficult to shop for guys sometimes. What do they really want? Well, we put together a list of a few things that guys wouldn’t even know they want, but will love! These are some amazing products that will make your dad, or husband feel pampered.
Lab Series: Skin Care for Men – Instant Skin Booster

This awakening serum helps skin look at feel lifted and toned by targeting dryness, redness, puffiness and parts of the skin that have lost firmness. This miracle serum also helps strengthen skin’s natural collagen. This serum can be used day or night and will leave your skin looking, and feeling, rejuvenated.
Anthony: Logistics for Men – Invigorating Rush Hair + Body Wash
We love the woodsy scent of this shower do-it-all. The clean, masculine scent is invigorating and perfect to waken the senses in the morning. We love that this is a full body lather which makes it great for a gym bag or travelling. We love luxurious, but low maintenance products!
Clinique – M Protect Broad Spectrum SPF 21 Daily Hydration + Protection

SPF has been added to a lot of foundations or moisturizes for women, that is why we love seeing daily moisturizers for men that also include SPF. This cream hydrates and soothes the skin while protecting it from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
The Art of Shaving – Fusion Chrome Collection Shaving Brush

This is a great gift for any guy that doesn’t already have one. This brush takes shaving from a “have-to-do” routine thing, to a luxurious experience. This gift would work well with our next suggestion as well.

Anthony: Logistics for Men – The Perfect Shave Kit

Picking out quality shaving products for men can be difficult with all of the selection out there. This kit is a great way to sample some things. The kit includes a glycolic facial cleanser, a pre-shave oil, a shave cream, an after-shave balm, a facial scrub and a toiletries case. This kit is great for travelling and will help achieve a great shave!
What products would you buy your father or husband for father’s day – are you considering purchasing some products for him to try? We would love to know!

Trending Fall/Winter Color: Oxblood

Oxblood is the hot hue of the season. Almost anything is available in this dark burgundy shade. Leather pants, purses, trench coats, headbands, t-shirts, dresses, ankle boots and many more things. There is no surprise that it has become a hit in the makeup world as well. You can find this shade in blushes, eye shadows, lip liner, lipsticks, eyeliners, mascara and nail polish.

The great thing about oxblood makeup looks is that they are always multidimensional. They are usually paired with rich golds and deep browns, creating a very sultry look. This hue can look great for very bold high-fashion wear (see models below on the left), to red carpet wear (Kristen Stewart is seen with these kinds of smokey eyes often) and also everyday wear.

Though you may not want to wear such a bold shade on your wedding day, this shade would be great for a night out with the girls or a bachelorette party!

Manicures

For a New Year’s Goal of mine I enacted a monthly Mani/Pedi day for me and the girls (you know who you are chicas!) to get our relaxation on and catch up on each others drama/gossip/lives, etc. It’s great and I highly recommend it to everyone out there! We do ours every 3rd Tuesday of the month and so far it’s working out well so that most can make it work with their schedules. It’s just another way of ensuring that we touch base in this super busy world.

We went to an awesome spot in Brier Creek called Mani Pedi Nail Spa in February and it rocked! The staff was very pleasant, the facility was super clean and very reasonably priced. Plus, you get complimentary drinks while you’re there…great service!

So in getting back with the mani/pedi program…especially since Spring/Summer is approaching (gotta get those toes back in shape for cute sandals and the pool) it has me questioning some of the new “trends” in manicures. For example, I just saw this picture on a Sephora email and was unsure how I feel about it. What do you think? Most think of me as fashion forward…but I think I’m going to have to mark this as a fashion don’t. How about you? 🙂

The makeup looks great, though! 🙂
